SWINGING CHRISTMAS – Christmas Concert

There are as many ways to celebrate Christmas as there are people who celebrate it – but one thing is certain: everyone will get into the perfect festive spirit at the Lahti Symphony Orchestra’s Christmas concert. The programme features a cavalcade of the finest pieces of Christmas music: evergreen swing tunes from America, Christmas tunes from Finland and, of course, timeless classics from years past. The melodies filling the Sibelius Hall will nurture both the body and the soul, and the brightest stars of Finnish musicals, Laura Voutilainen and Petrus Kähkönen, will lift the spirits. The Lahti Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Eeva Kontu, one of Finland’s finest theatre conductors.
