One of the Lahti Symphony Orchestra’s most popular releases is the 1998 album Joulun Ihmemaa (Christmas Wonderland). It instantly became a gold record and continues to attract listeners both on the radio and on streaming services. The album features original arrangements by Kalevi Aho, Ilkka Kuusisto and Atso Almila of well-known Christmas carols ranging from Hosianna to Sleigh Ride and from Christmas Bells to Sparrow on Christmas Morning.
This year the Lahti Symphony Orchestra will entice listeners with memories of Christmas past as conductor Kaapo Ijas and the Laulupuu Choir herald the start of the festive season with familiar carols from the Christmas wonderland.
