Little James wakes up on Christmas Eve to find that the Snowman he built in his garden has come to life.
Together, the new friends embark on an unforgettable flight over a wintry city and into a secret magical world accessible only to the select few.
For more than 40 years, the animated TV production The Snowman has ushered in children’s Christmas celebrations with a touching story of friendship, hope and the message of Christmas. Based on a story by the British children’s author Raymond Briggs, the silent animation is best known for its theme tune Walking in the Air. This Christmas, the Snowman’s touching story with its poignant music will also be shown on the big screen in the Sibelius Hall, accompanied by a live symphony orchestra.
