Horn
Period of applying 1.-30.9.2026. Audition 2.11.2026 at Sibelius Hall.
The Lahti Symphony Orchestra invites applications for the position of Horn starting on 4th of January 2027 (or to be agreed). Musician’s primary duty is to play the 4th horn. The position also includes an obligation to play the 2nd horn and the Vienna horn. The musician participates in both orchestral and chamber music activities and maintains the level of playing proficiency required by orchestral literature. We value previous experience in similar positions and good collaboration and interpersonal skills.
The salary, including the individual pay component and recording supplement, is 3140-3392 € per month.

Audition on the 2ndNovember 2026
The orchestra will choose the participants to the audition based on the videos and the information in the applications.
Invitations to the audition will be sent on week 41/2026.
The auditions will be held at the Sibelius Hall (Ankkurikatu 7, Lahti) on Monday 2nd November.
The orchestra will provide a pianist for the audition, however, use of own pianist is also possible at the applicant’s own expense.
An interview may be included in the audition.

The position is subjected to the collective agreement for monthly paid musicians in the municipal sector. A trial period (6 months) is assigned to the selected person.
