Alternating principal trumpet
Period of applying 7.9.-11.10.2026. Audition 23.11.2026 at Sibelius Hall.
Alternating principal trumpet participates in both orchestral and chamber music activities and maintains the level of playing proficiency required by orchestral literature. Together with the principal, he/she leads the trumpet section by rehearsing and developing it and provides instructions for acquiring group assistants and substitutes. We value previous experience in similar positions and good collaboration and interpersonal skills.
The salary, including the individual pay component and recording supplement, is 3563–3848 € per month.

Audition on 23rd November 2026
The orchestra will choose the participants to the audition based on the videos and information in the applications
Invitations to the audition will be sent during the week 42/2026
The Auditions will be held at the Sibelius hall, Ankkurikatu 7, Lahti on Monday, 23rd November
The orchestra will provide a pianist for the audition, however, use of own pianist is also possible at the applicant’s own expense.
An interview may be included in the audition.

The position is subjected to the collective agreement for monthly paid musicians in the municipal sector. A trial period (6 months) is assigned to the selected candidate.
